Shandong Kangqiao’s newly developed bentioflumin approved ISO common name

Bentioflumin, discovered by Shandong Kangqiao Bio-technology Co., Ltd. in 2019, is currently in the process of industrial registration and development by the company. It is a trifluoroethyl sulphide acaricide with a unique chemical structure and mechanism of action that is safe for animals, plants, and the environment. This product is highly effective against citrus rust mites, red spider mites, and two-spotted spider mites, with excellent leaf penetration properties and a residual effect lasting over 25 days.

The approval of ISO common names for bentioflumin will speed up the commercialization of this innovative product, helping with product registration and global commercial promotion. The anticipated development and availability of bentioflumin in domestic and international markets will introduce a new, efficient, low-toxicity, and environmentally friendly acaricide with a new mechanism of action for global farmers. This will provide a solution for controlling resistant mite pests, reduce pesticide use, improve effectiveness, and foster high-quality agricultural development nationally.
