A few days ago, the annual 7,000-ton green and efficient pesticide project of Shandong Kangqiao Biotechnology is announced for public opinion on a relevant government website.
The company is planning newbuild of three workshops with installation of five sets of production units in Boxing Chemical Industrial Park, Binzhou City, Shandong Province, covering an annual output of 5,000 tons of pyraclostrobin, 500 tons of spiromesifen, 500 tons of spirodiclofen, 500 tons of bentioflumin and 500 tons of thifluzamide, which total to 7,000 tons of pesticides.
Bentioflumin is a novel trifluoroethyl thioether acaricide, which was developed by Shandong Kangqiao Biotechnology in 2020. At present, the series of compounds containing this structure perform well in the acaricide market, with its excellent effect of control of herbivorous mites such as Panonychus citri, Tetranychus cinnabarinus and Tetranychus urticae at all their growth stages.
Spiromesifen was first developed and launched by Bayer, which has a unique action mode and excellent control effect, being widely used in many countries and regions. In recent years, the essential patent of spiromesifen has expired one after another, whereby domestic pesticide companies have been able to legally carry out synthesis, formulation and registration of this product, offering a substitution for imports.
